Lilly had an awesome time trick or treating. She actually had more fun just walking around looking at everyone. Aubrey and Laurel took Lilly to Karl's work on Halloween afternoon where they trick or treat at people's desks. After a while Laurel started coaching Lilly on the finer points of candy selection afraid that her basket would have nothing but suckers in it if let on her own. Lilly loves suckers or an exact quote would more like " I like um suckers!".Our next door neighbor decorates her front steps so cute and it was all a glow with jackolanterns etc. Then she dresses up as a "cute witch" with purple and orange hair and plays scaring music. When we were done trick or treating I wanted to go take some pictures of Lilly on the step with all the cute decorations but when I suggested as much, Lilly got this serious look on her face and said "Scary". It took me a bit but I figured it was the music so I said "Scary music?". Needless to say we didn't take the pictures, but Lilly was up three time in the night and when I would open her door she would say "Scary music!". I am not sure it was really the music or all the scary costumes she may have seen, but either way it reminds me of what a stupid holliday it is!! Well now that you all know how I really feel about Halloween lets move onto football games. Karl and Lilly have this standing date to go to the football games in our backyard. Lilly sits on his lap and cheers and claps and then plays around on the bleachers etc. She is so funny about it. You have to be careful to not mention the game until you are ready to go or she gets so excited and then falls apart if Karl leaves her site until they leave. It is a daddy-daughter date of the best kind. I don't know who has more fun; Lilly watching the game and the people, or Karl watching Lilly.
We had our 2nd annual Pumpkin Carving Potluck in our backyard with neighbors this year, and the other pictures are of Lilly taking her baby doll for a walk. I guess that covers all the pictures so I will close with big hugs and kisses from all of us here.
